Raised Vegetable Beds

In an increasing conscious society we are tending to think about where our vegetables come from. Growing them in your own garden means you know what has gone into growing them and you can pick what you want, when you want. That is fresh produce.

Just growing vegetables on a section of your garden can often look a bit messy and can have many disadvantages, especially if you have poor soil conditions such as clay or chalk. Having raised beds is an attractive way of growing vegetables and herbs fitting in with the shape and structure of your garden.

Benefits include;

  • adds fresh soil and can blend soil mixture when filling
  • improved drainage
  • can be a better use of space in your garden
  • soil is less compacted, as you tend not to walk on it
  • gives a clean and tidy look in your garden
  • soil warms up quicker in the spring often giving an earlier harvest
  • adds structure enhancing your gardens aesthetics
  • less bending down to plant, weed, water and tend
  • can be of any height to suit your needs

All of our vegetable beds are made to order. We can build you any size, any shape, any material that will suit your garden and your budget.
